Mother Daughter team give back to Kenneth F. Tietjen Memorial Foundation! (www.KenTietjen.org)
Newtown, PA, March 22, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Nina Kaplan, the author of the book series, designer and creator of everything Madison K, based her vision on her own daughter, Madison Kaplan. Fashion blogger Madison K is the star of her own book series and a genuine role model for young girls everywhere. The books, handbag line, 'multimedia concept' store, blog, and Instagram continue captivating teens all over the world as well as being a hit at the Ken Tietjen’s Annual Fundraising Gala!
Madison K lives by the code, "It's all about the fun" and encourages her fans to remember to enjoy life and dream big. Giving back is a big part of who they are and what they stand for! The Pennsylvania mother-daughter duo behind Madison K, share their books, handbags and beauty products in a gift donation to benefit the Kenneth F. Tietjen Memorial Foundation. The Foundation was started in memory of Port Authority Police Officer Ken Tietjen, who gave his life in the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. The event hosted a moving tribute to fallen PO Ken Tietjen and it was a wonderful to see the many teens volunteer that evening. A special note of thanks was given by Joe Daniels, President & CEO of the National September 11Memorial & Museum (911memorial.org). The night was filled with special moments such as the PAPD Pipes and Drum Band, Honor Guard, and Officer Ramos sang a beautiful rendition of the National Anthem. As well as the introduction of a special guest, Miniature Therapy Horse, “Honor” who is named in honor of Ken Tietjen. Honor is in training to be the country’s tiniest first responder and police horse. Nina & Madison Kaplan were honored to give back!
