NSC Focuses on Expanding Maths and English

Oswestry, United Kingdom, March 25, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Maths and English form a major part in all study programmes at North Shropshire College (NSC), to demonstrate how these skills are used in Hairdressing the Level 3 Hairdressing Group, together with their tutor Rachel, have taken the famous Fibonacci Sequence and created various hair styles. The Fibonacci order goes as follows: 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144 and on to infinity. Each number is the sum of the previous two.

This series of numbers is known as the Fibonacci numbers or the Fibonacci sequence. The ratio between the numbers is frequently called the golden ratio or golden number. The Level 3 Hairdressing Group have taken this ratio and developed the different hairstyles using colours following the sequence.

To ensure continuous improvement of results in Maths and English, NSC is looking to recruit expert tutors to deliver GCSE Maths, English and Functional Skills in Maths and English. This will involve working with main stream learners and apprentices, The College is looking for additional staff to deliver and support our learners in GCSE/Functional Skills Maths and English across all of NSC’s campuses, with a particularly urgent need at the Aspire campus near Tenbury Wells.
