The International Public Safety Association Announces "If You See Something Say Something™" Partnership with the Department of Homeland Security

Goodyear, AZ, April 04, 2016 --(PR.com)-- The International Public Safety Association announces a new partnership with the United States Department of Homeland Security’s “If You See Something, Say Something™” public awareness campaign.

“In today’s environment, civilians and public safety must increase their level of situational awareness and take action when a suspicious object, individual, or activity is present. Our communities and first responders are better served when we take that extra step and act on the anomaly before us,” said International Public Safety Association Executive Director Heather R. Cotter.

The “If You See Something, Say Something™” campaign, originally implemented by New York City’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority and now licensed to DHS for a nationwide campaign, is a simple and effective program to engage the public and key frontline employees to identify and report indicators of terrorism and terrorism-related crime to the proper transportation and law enforcement authorities.

“Our Association will be actively promoting 'If You See Something, Say Something™' message to our membership and the global public safety community,” said International Public Safety Association Executive Director Heather R. Cotter.

The United States Department of Homeland Security will continue to expand the “If You See Something, Say Something™” campaign nationally to ensure America’s businesses, communities, and citizens remain vigilant and play an active role in keeping the country safe.
