Feature Film "Seeking Esperanza" Creates Awareness About Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Announces Forthcoming Crowdfunding Campaign

"Seeking Esperanza" as described by Emily Trosclair, is a forthcoming feature film, currently in production, that contains a strong theme of "forgiveness and hope."

Hollywood, CA, April 04, 2016 --(PR.com)-- "Seeking Esperanza" as described by Emily Trosclair, is a film that depicts a tragedy within the film, as a result of a veteran suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), yet contains a strong theme of “forgiveness and hope.” Predominant filming for "Seeking Esperanza" was done in Sinaloa, Mexico. According to Executive Producer Trosclair, "It is a film about hope and forgiveness. It shines a light on PTSD."

The production team is seeking international distribution for this film to reach the veterans, family and friends of those who suffer from PTSD, and to create awareness on an extensive, worldwide scale. It is fact that through increasing awareness especially through storytelling depicted through film, understanding and empathy may increase. The public is urged to participate in the crowd funding campaign for this film which will be launched this spring. According to Trosclair, "This film shines light on PTSD. I believe it shows that even in the darkest of times, there is always light and another way to look at things. You can, often times, change the outcome as well as your emotions, by just changing your perspective."

Trosclair knows it is a story that must be told to be a voice for those who served and the many, who now suffer from the after effects of war. It is being produced to create further awareness for them, their families and to educate the public at large. "Seeking Esperanza" is important to Trosclair due to the content, as her late grandfather whom she loves and will always admire, served in IWO JIMA during WW2, where he witnessed the Americans raise the flag for victory. He was a highly decorated veteran. According to Trosclair, "He was the interpreter between American and Japanese leaders, although he spoke French, he managed to survive to tell the story."

Trosclair concluded, "The strengths of this production team which has come together to produce this film, in an effort to bring awareness to the plight of those who suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and to increase understanding throughout the world for those who are suffering, is nothing short of remarkable. We have become a solid production team, a 'family' formed out of trust and dedication, where we believe in each other, in addition to believing in the importance of the cause and this project."
