Toronto, Canada, April 06, 2016 --(PR.com
)-- Heroes of the Resistance, a Canadian rock band that blends old fashioned blues with hard rock, announced that they are the first band in the final of the contest Hard Rock Rising 2016. Hard Rock Rising is a global contest involving the Hard Rock Cafe franchises across the globe that have partnered with ReverbNation. Open to bands throughout the world, the contest seeks to promote unsigned groups and offer them an opportunity of a lifetime-the chance to perform live in front of thousands of fans around the globe. This year the competition brought over 4000 bands from North America alone. "There are a lot of fantastic bands out there that we're honored to share the stage with. It's hard to describe how thrilled we are with the results, and we're indebted to our fans who helped us get this far. Now we're ready to rock," said Imti, HTR's bass guitar player.
Creating melodies reminiscent of the 80s, Heroes of the Resistance exhilarates listeners with songs such as Salvation and Hero. Of the band's recent success, lead guitar player Rob L. says, "We worked hard to promote this contest within our fan base, and we couldn't be more happy with the result. This is amazing!"
To reach this momentous milestone, Heroes of the Resistance planned and executed specific tactics, like:
• Reached out to their Facebook and Twitter fans and encouraged them to vote
• Leveraged their fan base by performing throughout the Greater Toronto area
Band members look forward to the opportunity to showcase their new lineup at The Cavern Bar on Saturday, April 30th. On June 1st, 2016, there will be the Worldwide Battle Event, where each Local Competition Site (Toronto's House of Rock in Heroes of the Resistance's case) around the world conducts the Worldwide Battle Event and selects one (1) Local Winner Band in a live competition, where four (4) bands will be competing.
