NSC’s Shipley Campus Takes in Mini Shetland Ponies

Bridgnorth, United Kingdom, April 10, 2016 --(PR.com)-- North Shropshire College’s (NSC) Shipley Campus near Bridgnorth has just welcomed some new arrivals; the Animal Care Centre at the Campus has taken in two Miniature Shetland Ponies. The ponies are on loan from Atterley Farm Livery, which is owned and run by Sarah Reddihough, their arrival has been long awaited by students and staff from the Campus. The ponies, Pixie and Topsy, will live at the Animal Care Unit alongside Shipley’s many other animals.

David Lakin, Animal Care Technician at NSC’s Shipley Campus, commented, "The ponies will no doubt prove to be hard work but they will broaden the knowledge of the students involved in their care. The students will have to learn about the dangers these characters pose as well as the different feeding, grooming, restraint and husbandry requirements these ponies deserve which is a fundamental part of their Level 3 Animal Management and Level 2 Animal Care courses."
