NSC’s Scholars Restaurant to Hold Italian Night

Oswestry, United Kingdom, April 22, 2016 --(PR.com)-- North Shropshire College’s (NSC) training restaurant, Scholars, will be holding an Italian themed night on Monday. The night is one of several themed nights held throughout the year, where Hospitality and Catering students research world cuisine and develop menus for the night. Aside from the themed nights, Scholars is open to the public on Monday evening, Tuesday evening and afternoon and Wednesday afternoon.

The restaurant can seat a maximum of 34 people, private functions can be catered for on Monday and Tuesday evenings and special lunches on Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s with advanced booking. The restaurant has hosted many local groups such as Oswestry Women’s Institute and the Tangent Club, outside catering can also be provided in term time.

Dan Tompson, Hospitality and Catering lecturer, commented, "The Italian themed event is all about the students researching and learning about dishes from another culture and developing a menu around them, these events allow the students to show off their skills and raise the general awareness of the restaurant we have here at the College. The themed nights happen every other month except August."

The Italian night at Scholars will be on Monday 25th April from 6pm, there will be an Italian inspired menu with a glass of wine and coffee for only £12. To book a table contact Scholars on 01691 688053 or the College Reception on 01691 688000.
