NSC Take Part in Football Shirt Friday

Oswestry, United Kingdom, April 24, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Staff and students at North Shropshire College today took part in Football Shirt Friday to raise money for the Bobby Moore Fund of Cancer Research UK, the Bobby More Fund raises money for the research of bowel cancer, since its establishment, mortality rates from bowel cancer have fallen by 29%. Football Shirt Friday started in 2012 and has raised many thousands of pounds for the Bobby Moore Fund; this is the first time it has been held at NSC.

Sports Lecturer, Mike Smith, who planned the day, commented, "I saw the Bobby Moore Fund and Football Shirt Friday on Twitter and thought it is a worthy cause to raise money for, as everyone knows someone who has been affected by cancer. Everybody has enthusiastically embraced the spirit of the day; it was interesting to see the variety of teams the staff support."
