New Year's Resolution: Porto Announces Major Warehouse and Floor Sample Sale of Sustainable Home Furnishings

Raleigh, NC, January 09, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Porto, a fine home furnishings store in Raleigh and Chapel Hill, has announced that it will ring in the New Year by hosting a huge warehouse and floor sample sale January 11 - 28 that will place some of the finest examples of high-end, sustainable furniture at record low prices.

“South Cone, Cisco Brothers and one-of-a-kind items made from Indian Rosewood will be up to 50 percent off,” said co-owner Emily Barrett. “We’re determined to offer customers really good opportunities to own beautiful, handcrafted furnishings.”

Porto was recently featured in Southern Neighbor magazine and Retail-Digital.com for bringing its sustainable home furnishings mission to Chapel Hill. A founding member of the Sustainable Furniture Council (SFC) and the only retail member in North Carolina, Porto works only with manufacturers who practice “green” forestry and adhere to other edicts of the SFC. Among those manufacturers are South Cone (www.southcone.com) and Cisco (www.ciscobrothers.com).

Porto is located in Raleigh at 4151 Main at North Hills and in Chapel Hill’s Eastgate Shopping Center, 1800 East Franklin Street. Hours are: Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m., and Sunday from 1 - 6 p.m.
