)-- Mr Bunny Wailer is considered one of the longtime standard-bearers of reggae music and was named one of the three most important musicians in world music by Newsweek. The young Livingston actually spent his earliest years in the village of Nine Mile in St. Ann Parish and it was there that he met Bob Marley, and the two toddlers became fast friends. In 1963, Bunny and Bob Marley formed The Wailing Wailers with friend Peter Tosh and short lived members Junior Braithwaite and Beverley Kelso. After touring the world as the Wailers, Bunny subsequently left the group to pursue a solo career.
As a solo artist Bunny became more focused on his spiritual faith the rastafari movement. He has also written much of his own material as well as re-recording a number of cuts from the wailers catalogue. Bunny Wailer has recorded primarily in the roots style, in keeping with his often political and spiritual messages. This is a concert you don’t want to miss.
