NSC Providing New Diploma in Advanced Beauty Therapy

Oswestry, United Kingdom, May 11, 2016 --(PR.com)-- From September 2016, beauty professionals wanting to provide IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) and laser treatments will require a Level 4 qualification. This is due to significant changes in industry regulations. There is now an increased demand for advanced Level 4 training and the Advanced Learner Loan is open to learners aged 19+ to fund the course.

North Shropshire College (NSC) will be one of the first FE Colleges in the Shropshire area to deliver the Advanced Beauty Therapy course where students will learn practical skills such as how to provide laser and IPL treatments for skin rejuvenation and hair removal, microdermabrasion. Students will also complete theoretical units covering the physiology of ageing, chemistry of hair and beauty products, as well as experimenting with microbiology. Students and existing therapists have been given the opportunity to expand their skill set and to become some of the first beauty professionals in the area, to be qualified in this advanced qualification.

The course will be delivered part-time over one year, suiting those already working in salons. The course leader, Aimee Knott, can be contacted by email at a.knott@nsc.ac.uk.
