Advisory Center's New Consumer Guide Explores Short-Term Care Insurance

The first consumer guide focused on short-term care insurance was published today by the National Advisory Center for Short-Term Care Information.

Los Angeles, CA, May 20, 2016 --(PR.com)-- "Changes in the Medicare program are surprising a growing number of seniors with significant bills they didn't expect and often can't afford," explains Jesse Slome, director of the National Advisory Center for Short-Term Care Information (NAC-STCi). Slome authored the just-published "The Essential Guide to Short-Term Care Insurance Protection" which can be read on the Advisory Center's website.

"In addition, many seniors who want to do some long-term care planning find that their age, the cost of long-term care insurance or their health poses a problem," Slome adds. "We produced this guide to educate people about short-term care insurance which can provide benefits for home health care, assisted living facility care and skilled nursing home stays."

"There is almost no awareness of the issues or available planning options," Slome notes. Individuals interested in reading The Essential Guide To Short-Term Care Insurance Protection can access it via the Center's website www.shorttermcareinsurance.org. No sign-in or personal information is required.
