Future Electronics Promotes NCV7428 from ON Semiconductor

Future Electronics has announced immediate shipping availability of ON Semiconductor's NCV7428 System Basis Chip with integrated LIN and voltage regulator.

Pointe Claire, Canada, May 22, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Future Electronics, a global leading distributor of electronic components founded in 1968 by Robert Miller, has announced immediate shipping availability of ON Semiconductor's NCV7428 System Basis Chip with integrated LIN and voltage regulator.

The NCV7428 from ON Semiconductor is a System Basis Chip (SBC) integrating functions typically found in automotive Electronic Control Units (ECUs). NCV7428 provides and monitors the low voltage power supply for the application microcontroller and other loads and includes an LIN transceiver. Built in control logic ensures safe power-up sequence and the correct reaction to different supply conditions; it also controls mode transitions including the power management and Bus wake-up treatment.

The NCV7428 is LIN2.x and J2602 compliant, offers TxD dominant timeout protection, with transceiver mode controlled by a dedicated input pin. It also offers thermal shutdown protection, is LIN Bus pin protected against transients, and has an under-voltage detector with a reset output.
