Cancer Educational Services Organization Launches New Website.

Hillsborough, NJ, January 12, 2008 --(PR.com)-- American Cancer Educational Services, a local, not for profit (501c3) organization, has announced the launch of their new website, www.focusoncancer.org. ACES’ website is a clearinghouse for cancer information and links to reliable websites. The non-profit group provides support and education for local and non-local residents who have been diagnosed with cancer.

Launched in 2005, ACES’ function is to remove the hassle of finding good, accurate web resources for cancer and empowering all who visit by providing the necessary tools. Having all been touched by cancer and its effects personally, the founders of ACES, one of whom passed away recently from cancer, use medical experts to screen information and cancer websites on the internet so that they can provide links to only those which provide clear and reliable information. Last year, their website received 40,000 visits; a number that they hope will increase with their new, more easily navigable and aesthetically appealing site.

According to ACES founder Shari Lerer, the new website will help people searching for cancer information in several ways. “We want to help them with the information so the decision making process is easier and the stress level is down.” FocusOnCancer.org is a one stop shop for reliable information that may be difficult to find given the number of cancer sites currently online.

ACES is supported solely through donations from their supporters. Recently, their fundraising division, the American Cancer Fund, finished their yearly fundraising. In 2008, ACES is planning a breakfast and a buffet dinner and auction for local businesses to have the opportunity to support ACES’ efforts in the local community.

The new ACES website was designed free of charge by Galvanek & Wahl Advertising Agency. G&W is a local advertising agency based out of Manville, New Jersey who has done pro-bono work in the past for other non-profit clients including their Summit Marketing Effectiveness award winning work for the Lupus Research Institute.
