Washington, DC, DC, June 02, 2016 --(
PR.com)-- Girls Health Ed announces their annual fundraising event “Girls Around the Globe” to take place on June 30, 2016 from 6:00-8:00pm at the United Nations Foundation DC at 1750 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, 12th Floor, Washington, DC 20006.
The purpose of the fundraising event will be to support the organization in their mission to provide free health education to girls and young women nationally and internationally.
“With more than 62 million girls around the world not in school—half of whom are adolescents, there is a need for programming which focuses on keeping girls in school throughout adolescence, especially during puberty, when many girls drop out,” states Sarah Hillware, Founder of Girls Health Ed. “With the support of our donors, partners, and the public, we can help decrease this number by providing health education to as many girls as possible.”
The event will consist of a silent auction, light refreshments, and several VIP guest attendees. Among attendees will be keynote speaker Jeff Hoffman, women’s empowerment advocate, proven internet executive at Priceline.com, uBid, CTI and others, and one of Girls Health Ed’s board members. Sarish Khan, Miss Pakistan-USA, will also make a special guest appearance.
Tickets for the event are $65.00. VIP tickets can be purchased for $85.00, which will include a complimentary beverage, swag bag, and VIP room access. For more information or to purchase tickets, please visit http://girlsaroundtheglobe.eventbrite.com.
