Temporary Door Protection, DoorGuard, Chosen by Andersen Construction to Protect Doors of Western Oregon University’s Richard Woodcock Education Center

DoorGuard, the temporary door protection product from Builders Site Protection, will be used to protect interior doors at Western Oregon University's new Richard Woodcock Education Center; a project being completed by Andersen Construction.

Bend, OR, June 08, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Builders Site Protection today announced they have been chosen to provide temporary surface protection to Western Oregon University’s new Richard Woodcock Education Center. This Andersen Construction project will feature DoorGuard surface protection for all of its interior doors.

The Richard Woodcock Education Center is a new 58,000 square foot center that will house WOU’s education and teaching departments. The new center promises to be state-of-the-art, and will feature technology as an integral component of its design. The $18.6 million dollar building will feature digital teaching tools such as interactive whiteboards and live-streaming connections with other classrooms. The Richard Woodcock Education center is also going to be the first multi-story building created from cross-laminated timbers; a new construction method that sustainably uses wood beams as a replacement for concrete and steel supports. The new education center is scheduled to be open in time for fall classes in 2016.

DoorGuard is an award-winning temporary door protection. It is made from reinforced fluted cardboard, and it quickly attaches to a door using a patented system of elastic bands. DoorGuard’s materials make it reusable and recyclable.

DoorGuard temporary door protection was chosen to protect this project due to its ease of installation, as well as its ability to be reused. President of Builders Site Protection, Patricia Mullen, believes that past success with university projects are also a large reason why DoorGuard is being used, “Builders Site Protection has provided past Andersen Construction projects with numerous types of surface protection. We provided floor and jamb protection for Andersen Construction’s Southern Oregon University project, and the positive results there are largely responsible for DoorGuard being used on the WOU project.”
