PVG Delivers High Spec Modules

PVG Global has delivered a high spec A60 fire rated modular complex to Hornbeck Offshore for use as temporary accommodations on its vessels.

Broussard, LA, June 10, 2016 --(PR.com)-- PVG Global has successfully delivered another project on-time, on-spec and on-budget to Hornbeck Offshore. PVG was contracted to design, engineer and construct A-60 fire rated temporary workforce accommodations with ABS, USCG & DNV certification approvals for use on Hornbeck's vessels. Module's high specification design and demand included Class 1 Div II HVAC and electrical, fire and safety systems and the highest standards in interior outfitting and comfort. Modules were also designed to stackable and interchangeable for multiple applications.

Steel structural framing and sheathing consisted of 5/16 thickness with a three part epoxy marine coating system. Interiors included mineral wool fire rated insulation for passive fire protection. The wall systems installed were soft core non-progressive fire rated sandwich panels with vinyl covering. All furnishings consisted of powder coated bunks, lockers and desks. The bathrooms were prefabricated wet units commonly seen in cruise ship designs.
