Enrico Nicoló’s New Book Reveals Undiscovered History of Jesus’ Life

Dog Ear Publishing reviews a new book that explores the text of the New Testament and unveils an intriguing history of Jesus concealed within it.

Jefferson Hills, PA, June 14, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Many people are familiar with the New Testament and Jesus’ role as a supernatural figure – the embodiment of God on Earth – described in those important books of the Bible. What may be less familiar is insight into Jesus as a man, thanks to the literary techniques used in the Gospel writings to obscure those facts. Unveiling that aspect of Jesus is the focus of a new book released by Dog Ear Publishing.

In “Ecco Homo: Jesus the Man, ” Enrico Nicoló shares what he’s learned in years of studying the Gospel as one would study a puzzle – a mystery to be uncovered. Although a lifelong Catholic, Nicoló deliberately overlooked the spiritual side to Jesus in order to explore his life as a man. Reading and studying the four Gospels endless times, he began to approach the writing as he had his surgical patients – with precision and patience.

His scholarship into the language of the Gospels led him to conclude they have a double narrative that conceals the real history of Jesus, made more complicated by the oral history passed down by early believers and Aramaic words being translated into different languages. Through detailed discussion of specific scripture, the book presents a unique perspective on the life of Jesus the man.

“Ecco Homo: Jesus the Man” is the first religious book by Nicoló, a world-renowned surgeon who is now retired. He graduated from medical school at the University of Rome in 1972 and earned an undergraduate degree in humanistic studies including ancient Greek and Latin. Nicoló grew up in a Catholic family in Italy, attending a private religious school. He and his wife, judy, live in Jefferson Hills, Pa.
