Panera Bread Earns Three Awards from Cary Magazine

Third Annual Maggy Awards Highlight Area’s Best.

Durham, NC, January 13, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Panera Bread, with 11 Triangle locations, has been recognized as a winner of three 2008 Cary Magazine Maggy Awards, that highlight popular and outstanding businesses in the western Wake County area. Panera was voted the winner of the Best Creative Sandwich category, and received honorable mention in the Best Bakery and Best Ladies’ Lunch categories. Panera Bread is featured in the January/February issue of Cary Magazine.

This year marks the third year for the Maggy Awards. Panera Bread received honorable mention in the Best Bagels and Best Bakery categories in 2006, and honorable mention in the Best Bakery and Best Creative Sandwich categories in 2007. Results of the contest were based on more than 2,300 online votes by Cary Magazine readers in categories encompassing restaurants, sports, services, shopping and media.
