Support for K9s Keeps Brewing

Line-up for MECA Vest A K9 Fest Continues to Grow

Greenfield, WI, June 17, 2016 --(PR.com)-- The public is invited to the 5th annual MECA Vest A K9 Fest, a fundraiser hosted by Milwaukee Emergency Center for Animals on July 23rd, 2016. From 10am-3pm, event-goers are guaranteed to be entertained by live music, celebrity guest appearances and more. Put on by the Wisconsin Police Canine Vest Foundation (MECA Foundation), the free event raises funds for bullet and stab resistant vests for police k9’s throughout the state through donations, raffles and a silent auction.

“What started as a small event for a cause close to my heart, the safety and protection of police k-9s, has grown into the premier k-9 vest fundraiser in Wisconsin. I’m amazed, year after year, at the growing number of professional athletes, media, and local businesses that show their support and join the MECA Vest A K9 Fest,” said Dr. Lichtenberger, founder of MECA Foundation.

The day will begin with a pet blessing courtesy of Father Bill Burkert of Our Lady of Lourdes. Guests are encouraged to bring their pets! Nora Collins will return from recording in Nashville to entertain crowds with her country twang. Children and families can enjoy the numerous shows throughout the day – from mimes to reptiles to canine agility demonstrations.

Fans coming for Milwaukee Brewers autographs can count on meeting Corey Knebel, Michael Blazek, Alex Presley, Taylor Jungmann, Zach Davies, Tucker Neuhaus, Jeremy Jeffress, Hernan Perez, Will Smith, Chase Anderson and Scooter Gennett.
