NSC Engineering Students Study in Spain

Shropshire, United Kingdom, June 19, 2016 --(PR.com)-- A group of North Shropshire College’s (NSC) Engineering students from the Walford Campus are currently in Huesca, Spain undertaking work experience. The students are working for various Engineering companies in the Huesca region of Spain, all of which will enrich their course back at NSC.

The students are being guided by CPIFP Pirάmide, a college that delivers Electricity, Electronics, Energy, Water, Installation, Chemical and Building Works and are based on the outskirts of Huesca. The students as well as undertaking their work experience have been able to visit areas of cultural interest in the country. They have recently visited an area of Huesca called ‘Formigal’ a ski resort in the Winter and tourist attraction in the Summer months. Students have also made a visit to ERCROS, a water treatment company, as part of their stay.

The Engineering students have been able to make this visit and complete their work experience abroad, thanks to the Erasmus+ Programme, which is applied for by the Enterprise and Development Team. The funding comes from the European Union, with the hope that student’s study and experience will be enriched and make them more employable for the future. Bev Parry, Event Organiser, commented “The students seem to be having a fantastic experience over in Huesca, they’ve been able to see a lot of the local attractions and have made visits to Engineering plants. This trip will give students a great deal to talk about on university applications and job interviews, so overall an excellent opportunity for them.”
