TechBiz Connection Presents Search Engine Optimization Best Practices Advice at January Forum

Irvine, CA, January 13, 2008 --(PR.com)-- TechBiz Connection (TBC) will host a distinguished panel of highly regarded search engine optimization experts who will present the best practices needed for reaching top search engine ranking at its monthly forum on Wednesday, January 16 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at the Student Center at the University of California, Irvine.

Designed to help business owners, marketers, and webmasters increase their Web site’s traffic, rankings and conversions, the first TBC event of the year will discuss how to improve rankings in the search engines, link building, keyword selection, pay-per-click marketing, and more. In addition, forum attendees will learn about emerging marketing strategies such as blogging, viral marketing, and online public relations.

According to Jack Bicer, TBC president, topics to be covered include the secrets of how search engines list web sites; how to get free "organic" traffic by building a site that pleases search engines and site visitors; how to create compelling content that will attract visitors from search engines while maintaining the integrity of the web site; how to build links that generate traffic to the web site; how to avoid the penalties of "spamming" the search engines; and what's coming next in the constantly evolving world of web search and how to profit from those changes.

The panel moderator is Michael Bonfils, international managing director of SEM International, which specializes in providing outsourced international search engine optimization and marketing management services for global advertising agencies and Fortune 500 firms. SEM International operates in the Asian, European and Latin American regions with a concentration on Google, Yahoo, MSN and other media properties. Bonfils is a speaker and writer on search engine marketing technology and trends, having contributed his time to many major national publications and events. In addition to being the founder of a successful internet contextual advertising agencies which he sold in 2004, he has spent the last 11 years at the forefront of helping pioneer the search engine marketing industry. Bonfils sits on the Board of several organizations and previously served as the vice president of communications for the American Marketing Association (SOCAL).

Panel members include:
John McCarthy, director of SEO for Webmetro, an online marketing agency. In this role, he researches, analyzes and develops SEO strategies to obtain top organic search rankings for WebMetro clients. With more than eight years of Internet and search engine marketing experience, McCarthy’s clients have included MTV, Carnegie Mellon University, CMP Media, eHealthInsurance, Teleflora, Anthony Robbins, WellPoint, Public Storage and American Management Association. He is certified on the SEOToolSet and is a certified Ambassador on Yahoo! Search Submit Pro. Presently, McCarthy serves on the Direct Marketing Association’s Search Engine Marketing Council and is also a member of Search Engine Marketing Professional Organization (SEMPO), Web Analytics Association, and American Marketing Association.

Matt Tuens, vice president of sales and business development for CKMG. Successfully involved in web enterprises since 1998, Tuens stepped to the bleeding edge of search and Internet marketing by developing comprehensive content solutions that create multiple revenue streams, drive search results and traffic, and ensure long-term success. He has enjoyed strategizing, developing, and managing highly successful search and marketing campaigns for hundreds of companies, from startups to Fortune 100s, including AOL, Amazon, Experian, newegg.com, and eBay. He is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley.

Vince Bianco is currently the CEO of Newsforce. Newsforce provides a search engine optimization web-based tool for press releases in the public relations (PR) market. This tool helps press releases rank well in major search engines such as Google. Additionally, Newsforce is creating a new advertising opportunity on the web by building a performance PR/news advertising network.
