NSC Access to HE Students Celebrate Successful End of Year

Oswestry, United Kingdom, June 22, 2016 --(PR.com)-- The Access to Higher Education (HE) students at North Shropshire College’s (NSC) Oswestry Campus recently celebrated their success at an awards event in the College’s training restaurant, Scholars. The event allowed students and staff to reflect on the year they had had together and celebrate the completion of their qualification, a number of awards were handed out including Most Improved Student, Best Contribution to Access to HE and Highest Attendance.

Karim Abdul was named as the most improved student of the year; he has successfully completed his Access to HE Humanities course and will be starting at Manchester Metropolitan University in September studying Economics and Business. Karim commented, "The Access to HE Course kick started my self-belief; I am now following my ambition and heading to university."

Access to HE Coordinator Jill Cawthray commented, "We are always so proud at this time of the year to see our students complete their qualification and prepare to move on to a wide range of degrees. The most popular choices are Nursing, Midwifery, Social Work and Primary teaching. Now is the time to apply for a September 2016 start in Access to HE. We offer courses in Health and Humanities and new for 2016 is a Science pathway."
