Who: The Heartbeat Music and Performing Arts Academy

Why: To empower and inspire youth through voice and self-expression to impact positive social change in becoming educated leaders of society; To educate and inspire community leaders to embrace youth and the powerful ability to impact positive social change through the arts.

Based on true stories of youth neglect, broken homes, and loss of arts programs in schools, This is How We B.E.A.T. tells the inspirational story of how young people exercise their power to become the next leaders in their community to effect positive social change. Complete with music, dance, spoken word and rap, audience guests will leave inspired, motivated, and sure to see youth with a newfound respect and appreciation for their immense ability to be contributing members of society.
HBMA is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that provides year-round music, dance, vocal training, acting and college prep programs. Students gain exceptional performing arts skills, team building techniques, leadership development, and life skills. Students also receive academic support at every stage of their educational journey. With your valued support, we can continue operating our programs for years to come, and expand our reach by performing and speaking to underserved youth
