San Marcos, TX, July 09, 2016 --(PR.com
)-- MugUp comes back to San Marcos Texas at Rio Claro Studio, Saturday, July 30th between 10 AM and 12 PM. MugUp is always held in the atrium of 120 West Hopkins Street in the West Downtown neighborhood of San Marcos TX.
Gallery co-owner and artist, Stevie Black said, "As soon as we moved here and opened our gallery almost a year ago, we felt this town would welcome a low-key event like MugUp. We used to celebrate MugUp in Gloucester, MA where we had a seasonal gallery for three years. It quickly became a crowd-favorite way to meet everyone; no matter if you were a regular or just visiting."
What is MugUp? MugUp is an informal meet up where people of all-ages can mingle and find out what's going on in town and chat about issues of the day. Rio Claro Studio provides the coffee and some tasty treats –– everyone else brings a mug and something to nosh on if they want.
"It's all about building community one cup of Joe at a time," says Gigi Mederos, gallery co-owner and artist. "Sometimes fine art and galleries can erect a barrier between themselves and the general public. At MugUp, you can relax and get introduced to someone you really might like knowing. Sure, you might meet an artist or musician, but that's not the focus. Anyone can join MugUp and have fun - you don't need an art degree."
MugUp is a community building event held at Rio Claro Studio on the last Saturday of every month and will be held on Saturday, July 30th,2016 from 10 AM to 12 PM. This event is free and open to the public. MugUp is held rain or shine at 120 W. Hopkins Street, San Marcos TX. To find the event, go to Facebook and search: rioclarostudio.
