Dorset, VT, July 13, 2016 --(PR.com
)-- Lisa Cueman Photography is excited to announce her upcoming exhibit, The Untamed Horse - A Collaborative Exhibition, at Helmholz Fine Art. The opening reception will be held on Saturday, July 16th from 5:00 - 7:30pm and the exhibit will run until Saturday, August 16th. This is an incredible collaborative exhibit combining the talented imagery of Lisa Cueman Photography and breathtaking driftwood sculptures by Rita Dee. The exhibit will feature a compilation of Lisa Cueman's photographs taken over the past five years where she spent documenting the wild horses of the Outer Banks. Rita's contribution to the exhibit are life-size driftwood horses which were created out of inspiration from Lisa's work in the Outer Banks. Both Lisa and Rita are thrilled for the release of the collaboration, it's something they've spoken about for several years.
Some of Lisa's accomplishments include being represented by the Iris Gallery in Boston, MA & Aspen, Colorado. She is featured in the publication, The Scout Guide: Equestrian, and has been shown in many exhibitions over the past 6 years. Some of those include exhibits in Boston, MA, Saratoga, NY, Bridgehampton, NY, New York City, and Manchester, VT.
Lisa has spent the majority of her time with or around horses. She spent several years training and competing and once she retired she returned to her love for photography that she had first discovered during her high school years. Her intense passion for the beautiful creatures brought her back to them, but this time with a camera in hand. Riveted by the raw beauty of these animals, Lisa is drawn to be physically closer, abstracting her subjects in order to emphasize their beauty, forms, textures and lines that she finds so seductive and irresistible. In doing so, Lisa hopes to present the horse, as if for the first time, and in a way that perhaps has not been considered.
