Raleigh, NC, January 15, 2008 --(PR.com
)-- Jeff Davis, president of JDavis Architects, PLLC (www.jdavisarchitects.com), a full-service architecture, landscape architecture and interior design firm, has announced the completion of Carlton Place. Designed by JDavis, the project is the first large downtown Raleigh development featuring rental apartments in years. Carlton Place is a mixed-income, mixed-use infill community with 80 apartments – 64 of which are reserved for families with limited incomes.
Situated on a full two acre block in downtown Raleigh, Carlton Place acts as a bridge that frames a primary pedestrian walkway to the traditionally commercial E. Davie St downtown area. The development offers one-, two- and three-bedroom apartment units that incorporate green-design elements. JDavis Architects was awarded the project by the Raleigh Community Development Department through an invited competition.
“We are excited to announce the completion of Carlton Place,” said Davis. “The site is an important bridge between downtown and southeast Raleigh. The development also incorporates sustainable design making it environmentally friendly and cost-efficient.”
