Sarasota, FL, July 15, 2016 --(PR.com)-- A Jean Cocteau ceramic plate and an Egyptian Sixth Dynasty funeral mask are among the featured items offered for sale at the Multi-Estate Summer Auction set for Saturday, July 30, 2016, at Sarasota Estate Auction, 6030 N. Lockwood Ridge Road, Sarasota, Florida 34243.

Jean Cocteau (1889–1963) was a French writer, designer, playwright, artist and filmmaker, best known for his novel Les Enfants Terribles (1929) and film Blood of a Poet (1930). His circle of friends included Pablo Picasso, Yul Brenner and other notable figures of the time. The ceramic plate being auctioned, Les Trois Yeux (The Three Eyes), is one of his most notable pieces.

Another important offering is an Egyptian Sixth Dynasty funeral mask, authenticated in 1982 by prominent Egyptologist Dr. Robert Brier, who has appeared in numerous Discovery Channel, TLC Network and National Geographic documentaries.

The sale includes more than 600 lots of fine art, antiques, furniture, silver, glass, African antiques, porcelain, Asian antiques, bronzes, lighting and more.

The auction is open to the public and will be held live from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Online bidding is available before and during the auction through LiveAuctioneers.com and Invaluable.com. Absentee and phone bidding are also available.
