NSC to Hold Summer Sports Camps

Shropshire, United Kingdom, July 20, 2016 --(PR.com)-- This Summer North Shropshire College (NSC) will be holding Disability Multi-Sports Camps at the Walford Campus. The main emphasis of the camps are for young people to have fun, get involved with some sporting activities and socialise with peers. The multi-sports camps are aimed at people aged 14 years old or over with an intellectual and/or learning difficulty.

The camps are being organised in partnership with North Shropshire Special Olympics and other specialists, who will be delivering some of the activities. All of the sessions will be delivered by experienced staff that will deliver fun based activities in a safe environment. There will be activities such as: football, orienteering, fencing, dodgeball, wheelchair sports, angling, futsal and many more to look forward to over the camps. There will be four days of events: Monday 8th, Tuesday 9th, Wednesday 10th and Thursday 11th August and all sessions will run from 9.30am-4.00pm.

Benji Evans, event organiser, commented, “We piloted some different sessions last year and the multi-sports disability camps were a resounding success. We have developed key partnerships with various National Governing Bodies of sport and various other organisations and professional to develop this years camp. We are working closely with North Shropshire Special Olympics and they will be helping to deliver some of the sessions.”
