Lake Havasu City, AZ, July 27, 2016 --(PR.com
)-- U.S. Congressman Paul Gosar, Fourth District – Arizona, was in Lake Havasu City recently and took time out of his busy schedule of Town Hall meetings to visit the McCoy Fishing corporate office. As a supporter of small business and American Made products, Congressman Gosar made it a point to spend some time with McCoy Fishing on his most recent visit to Lake Havasu City. Besides being the home of McCoy Fishing, Lake Havasu City also hosted a BassMaster Elite Series event in 2015.
A proponent of “less government is more,” the Congressman makes it a point to meet with local businesses like McCoy Fishing to show his support and offer his help with any governmental issues or concerns that companies might be facing. Gosar later stated in his weekly newsletter: “...I had the pleasure of visiting McCoy Fishing in Lake Havasu City. They produce fishing line and also are in the firearms business as Samcorp Arms Mfg...the owners, Steve Hartigan and Mike Masterpole, are committed to bringing Arizonans closer to the great outdoors.”
Most recently, Congressman Gosar helped Lake Havasu City reverse a decision by the Fish and Wildlife Services and re-open closed waterways to all users of Lake Havasu. “I’m pleased to see the House pass my bipartisan amendment,” said Gosar, “and instruct the Service to reopen Lake Havasu for all users. The irresponsible and arbitrary boating restrictions made by the Service in May of 2015 should alarm all Americans who value the Rule of Law and a government that is accountable to the people it serves. It is unconscionable that an unlawful press release has closed an area on Lake Havasu for more than a year.”
