)-- In an effort to highlight the outdoor industry’s pivotal role in empowering families to raise children who connect with the outdoors, Outdoor Families Magazine has organized a panel discussion at the 2016 Outdoor Retailer Summer Market. This multi-layered panel will examine potential barriers to outdoor purchases, while also identifying retailers leading the way with broad-reaching programs emphasizing family stewardship and enjoyment of the outdoors.
Outdoor Families Magazine founder Jennifer Fontaine will moderate this diverse group of outdoor industry leaders during an hourlong panel discussion that will touch upon the benefits and challenges of promoting the outdoors to encourage and foster a lifelong love of the outdoors. Invited panelist Tom Adams, Director of Outdoor Recreation for the State of Utah remarks, “As a combined industry we need to break down any barriers faced by our youth and create a welcoming and educational environment at a state, city, and retail level.”
