IST Research Named to Inc. 5000 of Fastest Growing Companies

Fredericksburg, VA, August 20, 2016 --(PR.com)-- IST Research, developers of the Pulse Platform used to address global human security issues, has landed on the 2016 Inc 5000 list. The Fredericksburg, VA-based company debuted at number 1,221 on the 35th edition of Inc. magazine’s annual list of fastest-growing private companies in the United States with 318 percent growth in sales over the past three years.

IST receives funding through three main customer sets: federal research and development agencies, international development agencies, and non-governmental organizations.

Pulse was initially created with funding from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency's (DARPA), the US government agency tasked with radical technological innovation. Throughout the development of the Pulse technology platform, IST also received funding from USAID and the World Bank to use Pulse operationally to conduct data collection in Afghanistan. Further funding for operational deployments has recently been provided by U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM) to deploy Pulse throughout central Africa in the most disconnected geographies.
