)-- Carousel B Productions has picked up Grahame Wood's horror screenplay, The Pub, to be part of its inaugural slate. At the centre of the story is a young priest battling the diabolical consequences inflicted upon his body and soul by witchcraft in 1970’s Britain. Bernard Hill (Lord of the Rings, Titanic) is joining a core cast of UK actors, and Terry Bamber (veteran of the Bond movies) is attached to direct. The producers are now working with a casting director to find the film’s twenty-something lead.
Carousel B Productions is the joint venture of producer (and Wood's talent manager), Lorraine Berglund, and Donna Smith, president of premiere streaming service, CinemaNow. The company derives its name from the LAX baggage carousel the women reconnected at after boarding a flight together at Heathrow.
In collaboration with Francis O’Toole (The ABCs of Death) of Phantom Studios, and others, principal photography on The Pub is anticipated to begin the first half of 2017.
