Hyderabad, India, August 24, 2016 --(PR.com
)-- CADFEM India and Rocky DEM, Inc. have signed a distribution agreement enabling CADFEM to begin selling the most powerful 3D Discrete Element Modeling (DEM) program, Rocky DEM, in India. "We look at Rocky DEM as a strategic partner to complement our service offerings, which includes ANSYS sales and consulting services. As a partner, we want to provide the best-in-class particle simulation solutions to our customers," says Madhukar Chatiri, CEO of CADFEM India.
In 1985, CADFEM began their activities in Europe and became one of the pioneers in simulation product development and one of the largest suppliers of CAE software and services. Their history and experience in CAE are important to understanding and supporting Rocky's powerful simulation features, such as its CFD/FEA integration with ANSYS. "We believe that our partnership with CADFEM India will offer strong knowledge of DEM simulation technologies and outstanding support. It will be a significant improvement to our existing presence in terms of territory and customer service," says Rahul Bharadwaj, Vice-President of Engineering and Business Development at Rocky DEM, Inc.
"We are sure our partnership will be successful in establishing Rocky DEM as a flagship product in particle simulation, and CADFEM as a preferred service provider for our CAE customers," says Madhukar. Besides selling Rocky DEM software, CADFEM India is also responsible for providing training courses and technical support. This partnership furthers the strategy of securing a strong international presence for Rocky DEM software and bringing technological solutions to all parts of India.
About Rocky DEM, Inc.
Rocky DEM, Inc. (http://www.rocky-dem.com/) is the developer of Rocky, an advanced engineering program that uses Discrete Element Modeling (DEM) to predict the behavior of bulk solids and aids in the efficient design and optimization of material handling equipment and processes. Rocky DEM is capable of simulating realistic and concave particle shapes, particle breakage, boundary surface reduction due to wear, sticky and dry material contact laws, multiphysics, and more. Its explicit DEM solver uses either multi-core CPU or GPU processing that drastically reduces computational run times. Rocky DEM, Inc. is a joint GDI and ESSS enterprise.
Founded in 1985, CADFEM is one of the pioneers of numerical simulations based on the Finite Element Method (FEM). CADFEM is one of the largest European suppliers of Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) products. They work closely with ANSYS, Inc., a worldwide and leading provider of CAE software, and are ANSYS Elite Channel Partners in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Through CADFEM International, their products, services, and know-how are also provided by local CADFEM companies worldwide including in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Great Britain, Ireland, Russia, India (http://www.cadfem.in/), China, the United States, and North Africa.
