The Fashion Minded, a new creative agency specializing in fashion and retail, announces its official launch during New York Fashion Week this September. Jennylynn Aberin and Margaret Pauta, two millennial entrepreneurs with backgrounds in fashion and multi-channel retail, founded the company with the purpose of changing the way brands approach commerce and marketing.

The Fashion Minded is a new creative platform and fashion concept that supports the growth of brands and designers. Jennylynn Aberin and Margaret Pauta, two millennial entrepreneurs with backgrounds in fashion and multi-channel retail, founded the company with the purpose of changing the way brands approach commerce and marketing.

“We want to inject creativity into the market,” said Aberin. “Physical retail is on the decline and there is currently a high barrier to entry for emerging brands and designers. We’re offering modern solutions to traditional retail formats that appeal to small and medium-sized businesses.”

This fall, The Fashion Minded will host pop up shops and trunk shows along the East Coast as well as produce photo shoots and execute trade booth design. The company’s mission is to offer branding, public relations, marketing and retail support with tailored packages and low cost solutions in order to give rise to new talent as well as established brands looking for new retail concepts.

“We know how tough this business can be,” said Pauta. “Between astronomical rents and high marketing costs, it can be a struggle for brands to get their message out and meet their business goals and needs.”

Aberin spearheads the retail division, utilizing her background in boutique buying and wholesale operations. Pauta manages creative services for The Fashion Minded, employing her skills and talents honed from years of experience working at fashion companies like Club Monaco and Lucky Brand.

The Fashion Minded’s first project, a retail pop up event, kicks off this September during New York Fashion Week. The event will be produced and marketed by The Fashion Minded and will promote a mix of emerging and established designers curated by Aberin and Pauta.
