FachPack 2016: MAUSER and NCG Present Innovative Concepts for Industrial and Dangerous Goods Packaging – Booth 7A-138 / Hall 7A

MAUSER Group, the global player in industrial and dangerous goods packaging, presents innovative packaging solutions at this year's FachPack. The focus will be on fire-resistant composite IBCs, cost-efficient loading of ISO containers, new high-performance pails, fascinatingly designed steel drums as well as sustainable packaging solutions.

Bruehl, Germany, September 28, 2016 --(PR.com)-- From September 27th to 29th, MAUSER and its subsidiary National Container Group (NCG) welcome visitors with many product innovations at the FachPack exhibition in Nuremberg, Germany, at booth 7A-138 in hall 7A.

Fire-certified composite IBCs

One highlight is the new SM13 EX UL composite IBC, which has been developed by MAUSER to answer latest market requirements: The transport of dangerous goods in composite IBCs is a global business today. Especially companies in German-speaking countries continue to grow their export business and more frequently use this kind of industrial packaging. Reason enough for MAUSER to recognize the new regulations, requirements and trends by further upgrading its renowned IBC product series: Combustible liquids for example pose a high risk during transport and storage which leads to increasing coverage and requirements from the insurance industry. In September 2015, the global independent safety science company Underwriters Laboratories (UL) further enhanced their fire exposure test protocol for composite IBCs. With its future-proof SM13 EX UL composite IBC, MAUSER developed exactly the right solution in order to comply with these regulations.

IBC for optimum loading of ISO containers

ISO containers and composite IBCs are the global transport standard. However, a certain incompatibility between both transport units remains, since the storage space in a container loaded with IBCs cannot be fully utilized. This opens up potential for cost savings. MAUSER already offers a composite IBC based on a wooden pallet which has a lower overall height and can for example fit two additional IBCs in a 20’’ ISO container. At the booth customer can experience a new design concept for a steel/plastic composite pallet.

New pail for greases and silicones

The filling, transportation and handling of greases and silicones is a major challenge. Where conventional pails reach their limits, MAUSER has a long-standing record of providing the optimum plastic material mixtures against stress cracking and thus leakages. In addition to the already offered pails for quantities of 5 kg and 15 kg, companies can now use new pails for volumes of 18 kg. During the product development, MAUSER specifically answered the customer demand for a tamper-evident closure, ease of use when filling the pails and an overall design which allows convenient handling for the end-user.

Customized steel drums

High-quality printed steel drums provide companies with a real competitive advantage, since they make a lasting impression on end-customers and trigger positive associations: The appropriate design for instance can transfer the dynamics of racing to the respective company. MAUSER is looking back on a longstanding experience in high-quality dry offset printing on steel drums and supports its customers in the implementation of marketing campaigns. While many customers focused on large-scale production in the past, MAUSER is now able to provide small and smallest batch series as well. Moreover, shorter lead times and a faster artwork management ensure a flawless project execution.
