There was not a great deal of movement in the Top Ten of this week’s rankings. Positions one through four were shuffled, but the teams remained the same. The Alabama Crimson Tide ascend to the number one position, having been number three in the previous week. The Washington State Cougars move in to the Top Ten at number nine. Strength of Schedule proves to be a determining factor in the Ultimate Sports network ranking as undefeated Baylor, Boise State, Nebraska, Western Michigan, and West Virginia are still outside of the Top Ten. Baylor is the lowest ranked of the undefeated squads at #27. The Houston Cougars, Troy Trojans, and Western Michigan Broncos, are the top three schools outside of the Power Five Conferences in the rankings.
