Et Cultura Announces Initial Lineup of Art, Music, Film and Interactive Festival Participants

Five day art, music, and film festival, Et Cultura, to take place in downtown St. Petersburg in November, has announced some of the artists and presenters in its lineup.

St. Petersburg, FL, October 27, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Et Cultura, a brand new five day art, music, film and interactive festival, has announced some of the music headliners, film presenters, pop up art show presenters, featured makers, and interactive sessions, as well as yoga classes by Body Electric Yoga Company.

“Our goal is to foster conversations with audiences, our community and contributing artists while supporting emerging artists and providing an environment for learning through film, music, art, and interactive sessions,” says Lea Umberger, co-founder of Et Cultura.

The interactive branch of the festival features compelling presentations and forums from the brightest minds in emerging technology, interactive media, and disruptive entrepreneurism and will include exciting networking events hosted by industry leaders. Confirmed interactive presentations include “Emerging Technologies,” a discussion on what is new and emerging in the tech world and how it affects daily life and the educational environment of the future. “Rise of Digital Art” will be a discussion on how digital art (including film, projection mapping and virtual reality) is being used in multiple artistic disciplines and how it is being received by audiences. Other presentations will include panels about entrepreneurialism, an introduction by Walter Balser of the Innovation District in St. Petersburg, and other keynote speakers to be announced in the coming weeks.

The film branch of the event will include films by Drew Perlmutter, Good Enough Films, Annie O’ Neill, Orlando Cicilia, Jordan Liebowitz, Skinner Myers, David Bornstein, and more, all to be screened at Green Bench Brewery.

Pop-up art shows will also be held at Green Bench Brewery. Black Amethyst Tattoo Gallery will curate a show with the theme “Heroes vs. Villains,” in which artists are asked to draw inspiration from film and literature. HYPE will curate a graphic design exhibition with the theme of culture, encouraging artists to explore how culture has inspired their work. Orange Box Studios will curate Carousel No.6, which is an annual slideshow event featuring photographers presenting work before a live audience.

The music lineup includes The Hip Abduction, Dan Orlando, Kendra, Walker Lukens, Future Thieves, Professor Toon, Tides of Man, Hot Jam Factory, Luxury Mane, The Jackettes, DEA and Saint, Gat & Chris, Passerine, and more to be announced before October 1. The music main stage will be on Baum Avenue, near Green Bench Brewery.

The festival is a community event and is made possible through the collaboration of partners including Pilot Moon Films, Green Bench Brewing Co., Film Freeway, Daddy Kool Records, St. Petersburg Arts Alliance, Keep St. Petersburg Local, Station House, Pinstripe Marketing, St. Petersburg Clearwater Film Commission, Zooppa, Mojoe Productions, Black Amethyst Tattoo Gallery, Creative Loafing, and Bayprint.
