North Carolina Fine Wines Society Creates Scholarship Fund

The North Carolina Fine Wines Society has created a Scholarship Fund to be managed by the Winston-Salem Foundation. The North Carolina Fine Wines Society was created to promote the quality of North Carolina Wines and provide financial assistance to students attending NC accredited associate and undergraduate programs in wine related field of studies.

Winston-Salem, NC, November 02, 2016 --(PR.com)-- The North Carolina Fine Wines Society is pleased to announce the creation of the North Carolina Fine Wines Society Scholarship Fund. This scholarship fund is managed for them by the Winston-Salem Foundation to help students pursuing wine related careers at North Carolina colleges and universities. This scholarship fund is managed by the Winston-Salem Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization, which was founded in 1919. The Foundation has almost 100 years of experience managing charitable contributions and funds. As a 501(c)3 scholarship, it is tax deductible, and may be eligible to be matched as part of a corporate matching program.

The two goals set forth for the North Carolina Fine Wines Society are:

To promote the quality of North Carolina wines and the development and advancement of the North Carolina wine industry and agritourism; and
To provide supplemental financial resources for students pursuing an associate or undergraduate degree in enology, viticulture, and wine related hospitality and agritourism activities.

Why is this so important? There is a need for the professional development of qualified individuals to ensure the growth and long term viability of the North Carolina wine industry. After all, a long term vision for growth and excellence is absolutely aligned with great wine making.

Dan McLaughlin, secretary of the North Carolina Fine Wines Society said, "As you plan to celebrate the Holidays Season and look to making charitable donations, please consider a donation to the future of our wine industry. You'll be rewarded each time you lift your glass full of North Carolina Wine."
