Get Your Hands on Real Moon Rocks, Experience Space through Virtual Reality, and Meet a Microscopic Water Bear at the Museum’s Next Adult Swim: Cocktails & Cosmonauts on Saturday, Nov. 19 from 7-10pm

Olympia, WA, November 02, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Hands On Children’s Museum in Olympia, WA is once again offering play & learning for adults at the museum with Adult Swim: Cocktails & Cosmonauts – Saturday, Nov. 19 from 7-10 p.m.

The late night event for adults 21+ is a chance to celebrate your favorite sci-fi ephemera from Danger Room Comics and learn more space science from local Pierce College Science Dome scientists.

Cocktails & Cosmonauts features a wearable space suit and other exhibits from star gazing with Tacoma Astronomical Society to Virtual Reality experiences & video gaming with Capon Design. Play in the Museum exhibits with a Storm Trooper that will be visiting from the 501st Legion and make a galaxy in a bottle with Shipwreck Beads while listening to DJ Slimrock spin funk & soul vinyls.

Sip on a White Russian while learning about gravity, weightlessness, and how Tardigrades can survive the vacuum of space. Hold real moon rocks on loan from NASA and see-touch-smell a sleeping bag that was used on MIR - the Russian space station. Experience a dexterity challenge wearing space gloves, and have the opportunity to play with the polymer used in Maximum Absorbency Garments.

“Cocktails & Cosmonauts is a fun way to brush up on space & science knowledge. Incredible exhibits on loan from NASA along side telescopes from the Tacoma Astronomical Society.
