Autonomy Distributors wanted to leverage their 20 years of international distribution expertise to help small and medium-sized U.S. companies navigate the cumbersome export process, but weren’t sure how. In Focus Brands, in partnership with Diamond Point Co-Development Fund, opened a U.S. export division for Autonomy, and created a turnkey logistics, sourcing and market acquisition IP system to help Autonomy move 100% American-made products overseas.
Over 90% of the world’s consumers reside outside of the United States. Despite the massive opportunity, many U.S. SMEs do not export, because the process seems overwhelming.

In Focus Brands’ Contribution
In Focus Brands developed the turnkey logistics, sourcing and market acquisition IP system for Autonomy. Then Autonomy used the IP system to open markets in 6 countries in its first year. During that time 15 companies (including craft distilled and brewed beers, fashion, electronics and fitness) achieved their export goals.
Results & Future Plans
The IP system was so effective that Autonomy’s 21-month-old division was purchased by its overseas partners at a return of 3 times ROI for investors.
Additionally, the sale created an opening for Autonomy to pivot its U.S. operations. Under a new, joint venture with In Focus Brands and Diamond Point Co-Development Fund, Autonomy will create strategic direction and distribution processes for companies in the startup and small business manufacturing, and craft CPG/lifestyle brand spaces.
