United States Power Squadrons Digital Media Library Debuts Stopping and Holding Position Video

The United States Power Squadrons (USPS) is now premiering the new “Stopping and Holding Position” streaming media video in its Digital Media Library (DML).

Raleigh, NC, November 10, 2016 --(PR.com)-- The United States Power Squadrons® (USPS) announces the debut of its streaming media video focused on stopping and holding position in its Digital Media Library (DML) online at www.uspsdml.org and as a free mobile app.

The new “Stopping and Holding Position” video shows viewers how to hold the position of their boats near an object in the water for at least a minute within two boat lengths.

Viewers will also learn how to bring their boats from idle speed to a complete stop within one boat length.

Also featured are special tips such as how to turn the bows or sterns of boats into the wind or current and use their engines to maintain position, and how to back boats in a predetermined direction for five boat lengths.

Along with the new video, the USPS DML is adding a related boater education slideshow on Marine Radar as well as several new safe boating images.

The USPS DML is also distributing its “Stopping and Holding” video through popular social media including Facebook and YouTube. All digital media in the library is offered at no charge.

The USPS Digital Media Library is produced under a grant from the Sport Fish Restoration and Boating Trust Fund administered by the US Coast Guard.
