)-- GIA, a well-curated fashion forward boutique that sells a unique collection of hip clothing, jewelry and gift items, will officially celebrate it grand re-opening, Saturday, Nov. 26 from 12 – 7 pm. Formerly known as the consignment shop, Chic Boutique, GIA will focus solely on bringing new, moderately-priced fashions to the North Shore.
Fashion has always been a passion for owner Margaret Cierniak, who opened Chic Boutique in 2015. But after seeing huge success with the few retail lines she carried in the former consignment shop, she decided to switch business models and open GIA, the first non-consignment boutique to open in Highwood. “The city already has a wonderful dining scene. I hope to expand on that and pave the road for future retailers to come to Highwood,” said Cierniak.
After some minor renovations, the boutique is now filled with a variety of clothing, jewelry and accessories that you won’t see everywhere else, including several collections from Europe, particularly Cierniak’s native Poland. “I love discovering fresh new brands, that offer high quality at affordable prices,” Cierniak stated. “I am excited to introduce GIA to everyone and hope to provide a fun and relaxing shopping experience for women of all ages.”
GIA’s grand opening celebration will include special giveaways, raffles, and light refreshments. Customers can also enjoy 25% off all clothing and 15% off all jewelry and accessories.
GIA is located at 254 Waukegan Ave. in Highwood, IL. Tel: 847-281-6501.
