Forum for Drug Sponsors and Contract Development and Manufacturing Professionals Completes 2016 Program and Returns to Boston, San Diego and San Francisco in 2017

Erie, PA, November 25, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Outsourced Pharma’s final program in 2016 was recently concluded in San Francisco. For the first time, technology companies, venture capital firms and others from Silicon Valley and elsewhere were invited to join the Outsourced Pharma community to focus on the topic of “Drug Development and Manufacturing Outsourcing in an Era of Technology.”

The focus of the agenda was to create a forum for open discussion on innovation and technology in outsourcing. In addition to those from pharma and biotech, technology and other industry thought-leaders were also invited to explore how relationships could be advanced and expand the parameters of partnerships as it relates to innovation in the external supply chain.

Louis Garguilo, Outsourced Pharma Event Chair and Chief Editor of OutsourcedPharma.com, said: “Over the past three years, we’ve continued to improve upon our model of open discussion and debate to uncover challenges facing – and between – the drug sponsors and owners and the contract development and manufacturing organizations. We look forward to building on this platform in 2017, and invite any professional in the industry involved with outsourcing or an external supply chain to join us.”

The conference included executives from companies such as Amgen, Achaogen and Pfizer. Throughout the two days, they and many others who are involved in outsourcing decisions at their companies discussed ideas on new models for further progress.

“It was extremely interesting hearing the speakers, panelists and even most importantly, the audience. Keep on pioneering, asking new questions and driving shifts in our healthcare system. We need it,” said Sheila Babnis, Innovator In Residence, Advisory Board, Launch Pad Central.

In addition to sponsoring speakers on the panel, the Outsourced Pharma Conference and Exhibition hosted 58 sponsors, providing industry attendees solutions to their outsourcing needs.

Outsourced Pharma is entering its fourth year of hosting biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, contract development and manufacturing organizations (CDMOs/CMOs) and other outsourcing and supply-chain professionals. These thought-leadership conferences and exhibitions provide discussions of best practices and practical application of outsourcing skills, with an open format for panel and audience discussion.

Future Outsourced Pharma Conference and Exhibition Dates:

April 26-27, 2017 | Boston
August 22-23, 2017 | San Diego
October 17-18, 2017 | San Francisco
