New Book by Anne E. Moses Provides Charming Tour of Big Apple’s Tourist Destinations

Dog Ear Publishing reviews a new children’s and dog-lover’s book starring a loveable pooch who has her own canine take on New York City.

Boston, MA, January 03, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Take in the sights, sounds and smells of New York City, seen from a unique perspective. Gracie, an English cocker spaniel, sniffs out the best the Big Apple has to offer and shares her impressions in a new children’s and dog-lover’s book released by Dog Ear Publishing. It’s the third book in a series of Grace Guides.

“The Gracie Guide to New York City” takes readers on a whirlwind tour of the city’s highlights from renowned buildings such as the Flat Iron Building, Chrysler Building, New York Public Library and Little Church Around the Corner to cultural destinations such as the Guggenheim Museum, Cloisters, Museum of Modern Art, Wall Street, the 9/11 Memorial and Lincoln Center.

The Plaza Hotel (more than 100 years old) and its famous fictional resident Eloise are one of Gracie’s favorites, as is the building that seems as if it’s been named after her: Gracie Mansion, which housed several New York mayors after serving as an ice cream parlor, school and a museum. She also describes shopping, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, Santa’s arrival and Christmas at Rockefeller Center: all magical moments.

“Gracie’s Guide” includes tips for getting along with doormen and friends at Madison Square Park’s doggy playground, and she can’t pass up a chance to recommend a few restaurants. Charming illustrations with plenty of personality – created by Anne E. Moses – capture the spirit of the city and its many attractions for young and old.

Moses has lived in Switzerland, Italy, Greece and the United Kingdom. The author and illustrator was born in the United States, but she and her husband, Bill, who live in Athens, Greece, travel extensively with Gracie. Moses also wrote the companion books “The Grace Guide to Good Manners for Proper Pooches” and “The Grace Guide to Her Really Fun ABCs,” as well as the illustrated children’s bedtime story “Gatos Musikos: A Secret Told by the Moon.”

Gracie, an English cocker spaniel, was born in Hungary. She loves to swim in the sea and go on adventures. She and Moses plan to pair up again to create other Gracie Guides featuring cities around the world.
