Girls, young ladies and their parents who are exposed early to women in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) careers, especially minority women, are better able to bridge gaps in learning science and math concepts as well as improve overall confidence in solving problems. The film Hidden Figures provides a great opportunity to engage families in a discussion about STEM careers and opportunities to become leaders in their chosen fields.
