Classical Movements Launches India Choral Fellowship; Kevin Fox First Recipient

ICF: Changing the Landscape of Choral Music in India

Alexandria, VA, January 08, 2017 --(PR.com)-- With the launch of their inaugural India Choral Fellowship, Classical Movements seeks to stimulate the growth and foster the development of that distinctively Indian choral tradition. Working together with local partners in New Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai (Madras)—blending Western classical music's rich history with the ancient and vital heritage of Indian classical music—we hope to inspire a new generation of composers, conductors, clinicians and choral musicians throughout India.

"More recently, perhaps due to increased globalization and/or the larger number of Indians studying abroad, I’ve come to realize that India’s interest in Western classical music is growing. Steadily." — Neeta Helms, Classical Movements' Founder & President

Classical Movements is proud to announce that distinguished singer, conductor and educator Kevin Fox is their first-ever India Choral Fellow. Founding Artistic Director of the Grammy-winning Pacific Boychoir Academy, Mr. Fox will travel to New Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai later this month for a two-month engagement.

"I’m honored to be chosen for Classical Movements' first India Choral Fellowship, and I'm excited to have the chance to work with and learn from the dedicated people that are shaping the future of India’s choral landscape." — Kevin Fox

Working in India since their founding in 1992, Classical Movements can handle all travel arrangements and performance plans for you and your musical group, so you both can experience this intriguing culture firsthand.
