Author Kristen Collier is the February Featured Guest at Stories for Children Magazine

Ivins, UT, February 03, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Joy the Jellyfish, Kristen Collier's first children's picture book which is illustrated by husband Kevin Scott Collier, shares with kids the tale of an unnoticed sea creature that sets out on a journey to find and make a friend.

Stories for Children Magazine’s assistant editor Gayle Jacobson-Huset had the chance to chat with author Kristen Collier about not only writing for children, but what it was like working on a book with her husband.

“Are you kidding? It’s awesome working with Kevin! We have a computer by the TV and Kevin draws sitting on the floor,” says Collier, “It was Mister Idea Man’s idea. Kevin has more ideas than the day is long! He started talking about a little jellyfish that felt unseen, that was nearly transparent. She was ignored. He meant me. It’s a story to teach kids that a true friend sees what’s on the inside and that to make a friend you have to be a friend.”
