Chicago, IL, February 22, 2017 --(PR.com
)-- TurboAppeal, a leading technology startup that helps consumers and businesses appeal property taxes, has unveiled the next chapter in its mission to empower homeowners to become more fiscally efficient. TurboAppeal’s latest update puts the homeowner in more control of lowering their property taxes by simply placing the appeal directly in their hands.
“We listened to our customers and understood their frustrations with a contingency fee model that, by its nature, could charge hundreds of dollars,” said John Guidos, co-founder and COO of TurboAppeal. “We have spent the past year building this completely transparent product that places all the needed appeal evidence in the hands of the homeowners for a small fraction of what they would normally pay- allowing them to keep all of their savings in their pocket.”
These changes bring a more accessible, flat fee of $29 for each home’s appeal. TurboAppeal’s latest chapter goes further in educating the homeowner on the nuances of their specific appeal’s process and is designed to place the homeowner in the driver’s seat of their appeal.
How It All Works
Typing in the address of the home online instantly pulls data from TurboAppeal’s machine-learning algorithm to see if an appeal is warranted for the current year. An appeal is warranted if there is enough evidence, in the form of comparable properties, available in the taxing jurisdiction that could potentially lower the homeowner’s property taxes. After creating an account, the customer has one year (365 days) of access to the comparable properties, official forms, and educational resources needed to file appeals.
“We build products we would use as homeowners ourselves. Being able to spend the cost of a hardcover book to save up to thousands on my property taxes is aligned with our mission of always doing the right thing for our customers,” said Badal Shah, co-founder and CEO of TurboAppeal.
