)-- David Sugarman returns to Miami launching SugarTime Records, “Music for Change.” SugarTime Records marks Sugarman’s official return to entertainment after years in sports and other business endeavors.
Sugarman is combining his connections and reach within entertainment and music with his long-time passion for making a positive impact in the world. His work as a social activist as renewed his drive and fervor to bring voice that need to be heard to the forefront and what better way to do so than through music.
“I noticed when I would speak with people about social issues, world issues or whatever is happening in their lives that we all have so much in common, yet we focus on the differences,” said Sugarman. “Music has always been the conduit to bringing people together and I think that there should be more ways to get unique voices and talented singers, songwriters and musicians platforms to share their gifts with the world because you never know who might hear that song or hear that voice and have it change their life.”
SugarTime Records is debuting with a small core staff and the expectation is to build as the corral of talent is secured and Sugarman begins searching for these gifted individuals and groups worldwide. Sugarman believes that technology has allowed the world to share so much and become one community – which in-turn can also be a place to search for distinct musical genius across the globe.
“We are one world and by showcasing the voice of people from so many different places we are able to celebrate our commonalities and each other,” said Sugarman. “I’ve been blessed to know many gifted music icons and they all say how music can touch people’s souls, well now we can reach even further, so why shouldn’t we do so.”
SugarTime Records, Music for Change, debuted in February 2017 in Miami under the director of David Sugarman. SugarTime Records aims to infuse unique voices to the worldwide music industry.
